The Long Beach Legends finished off a dream season winning the inaugural Best of the West Tournament. The Long Beach Legends defeated the Inland Empire Golden Bears 17-0 in the Best of the West Championship Game. The win caps off a legendary season where the Legends won the Sunset Baseball League regular season and tourney championships and finished winning their final 10 games and 15 of their last 16 en route to a 42-12 season.

The Best of the West tournament saw dramatics in this one as the Inland Empire Golden Bears walked off against the Ventura Halos Saturday afternoon at Cal State Los Angeles. Inland Empire won 6-5 and advances to the inaugural Best of the West Championship Game at 7 p.m. Saturday at Cal State Los Angeles.

The Long Beach Legends doubled up the Ventura County Bucs 10-5 Tuesday afternoon at Long Beach City College. Long Beach earned a 15-9 win in Game 2 to claim a sweep of Ventura County. The Legends will meet up with the South Bay Saints next at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
