The Long Beach Legends defeated the Inland Empire Golden Bears 17-0 in the Best of the West Championship Game.

The win caps off a legendary season where the Legends won the Sunset Baseball League regular season and tourney championships and finished winning their final 10 games and 15 of their last 16 en route to a 42-12 season.

LEGENDS 10, SOUTH BAY SAINTS 4

The Long Beach Legends earned a 10-4 win over the South Bay Saints Saturday afternoon at Cal State Los Angeles.

 

The Legends advance to the championship at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

GOLDEN BEARS 6, HALOS 5

The Best of the West tournament saw dramatics in this one as the Inland Empire Golden Bears walked off against the Ventura Halos Saturday afternoon at Cal State Los Angeles.

 

Inland Empire won 6-5 and advances to the inaugural Best of the West Championship Game at 7 p.m. Saturday at Cal State Los Angeles.
